    Hi, We are using ForgeRock 6.5 version. And now we have such a user scenario, that we have user’s credentials, and we submit these credentials to openam to get the user info, that’s similar to a normal authentication process, except that we don’t want to create any session during the whole process.

    Yes, we want openam to validate these credentials to get the user info and don’t create any session. Is it possible? How to achieve it? Thanks for your response.

    Yes, this is possible. You need to pass in “noSession=true” as part of the query string. See below:

    REQUEST:
    $ curl \
    –request POST \
    –header “Content-Type: application/json” \
    –header “Accept-API-Version: resource=2.0, protocol=1.0” \
    –header “user: bnelson” \
    –header “pin: 1234” \
    https://host.domain:port/auth/json/realms/root/realms/{realmname}/authenticate?authIndexType=service&authIndexValue={authTreeName}&noSession=true’

    RESPONSE:
    {
    “successUrl”:”/auth/console”,
    “realm”:”/{realmname}”
    }
