We are setting up a new environment for IDM 6.5, and we would like to use PostgreSQL as a repository.
The release notes only mention versions 9.5, 9.6 and 10.5.

Our “standard” version for PostgreSQL is version 11.5.
Is this supported by IDM 6.5 ? Are there some risks ? Is is better to stick to the release notes?

We would like to avoid doing an upgrade of DB in the next years. Further more, I saw an article on Forgerock Wiki by Jake Feasel (https://wikis.forgerock.org/confluence/display/openidm/Performance+Tuning+Tips+for+IDM+6.5) with a PostgreSQL 11.5 RDS deployment.

    Any comment will be welcome

    Version 7 officially supports these versions: PostgreSQL 9.6, 10.1, 11.6, and 12.1.

As you say, I used PG 11.5 with IDM 6.5 with no issue. Regarding support for PG 11 use with 6.5, the worst case would be that they ask you to reproduce any DB-related issue you find in a supported DB version. Personally I doubt there is much chance of there being a significant difference for IDM 6.5 operating in 11 and in versions 9 & 10.
