    Hey there,

So at initial install there is an encryption key that is configured and deals with encrypting a few things in files, etc. Specifically, https://backstage.forgerock.com/docs/am/6.5/reference/#security-encryption – am.encryption.pwd. I found some incredibly old documentation around how to do this for the Sun AM that Forgerock’s AM solution is based off of (https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19462-01/819-5899/adqgv/index.html) but am not sure how much of this is applicable any more given it’s been years since we’re talking a decade plus of code and configuration drift here.

Is there a way to rotate this as well as the things it encrypts in a sensible manner? If so, is it documented anywhere on the FR site? I did some digging and couldn’t find anything.

    Thanks,

    Rusty
