    Hi All,

I see the latest version community version of OpenDJ (3.5) supports Java 8, are there plans to support Java 11?

    Thanks,
    Walid

ForgeRock Directory Services 6.5 which was released a few weeks ago, supports Java 11 (and Java 8).

    Hi Ludo,

Thanks for your response. I believe DS 6.5 can only be used in non-production environments, otherwise you need a subscription? I am looking for a community (opensource) version of OpenDJ which supports java 11.

    Thanks,
    Walid

As far as I know the latest Open Source version is 3.0.0 and this supports Java 7 or 8 (see link: prerequisites-java). And yes, DS 6.5 needs license to be used in Production.

Thanks – so is there an opensource version which supports java 11? If not now, is there one planned? If yes, when?

I don’t know of any open-source version derived from OpenDJ that supports Java 11.
ForgeRock doesn’t have plan to make one available for now.
