    Hi!

    With a PHP script I search OpenDJ 2.6.0 for some object and ask for attribute “myName;lang-en”.

    The search with an anonymous bind gives me what I expect:

    {
    [“myName;lang-en”]=>
    array(2) {
    [“count”]=>
    int(1)
    [0]=>
    string(25) “Department X”
    }
    [0]=>
    string(20) “myName;lang-en”
    [“count”]=>
    int(1)
    }

    A search with a proper bind produces a different output:

    {
    [“myName”]=>
    array(2) {
    [“count”]=>
    int(1)
    [0]=>
    string(25) “Department X”
    }
    [0]=>
    string(12) “myName”
    [“count”]=>
    int(1)
    }

    What happened to the subtype?

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    Siegfried

    Could you please try with OpenDJ ldapsearch ?
    I’ve tried and things work as expected, so I would look into the PHP code.

    Thanks, Ludo, you’re right.

    OpenDJ ldapsearch works as expected:

    $ ./ldapsearch -h opendj -p 389 -b “ou=Groups,dc=X” “(cn=X-2005-0504)” groupname\;lang-en
    dn: cn=X-2005-0504,ou=Groups,dc=X
    groupname;lang-en: Procurement

    $ ./ldapsearch -D “cn=Directory Manager” -w password -h opendj -p 389 -b “ou=Groups,dc=X” “(cn=X-2005-0504)” groupname\;lang-en
    dn: cn=X-2005-0504,ou=Groups,dc=X
    groupname;lang-en: Procurement
