    Hi,

I’m struggling with the OpenAM 13.0 custom UI.
As far as i know, there are 2 attitude:
    1. custom the OpenAM UI
    2. make my own pages and use the REST API.

    My requirements:
    1. Add remember me checkbox in the login page.
    2. After login, redirect the user to my own user details page.
    3. Add register button, forgot my password button in the login page (i will use my implementation for that services).

If i custom the OpenAM XUI, how it will work with OpenID, SAML authenitcation etc…
    What do you suggest ?

    Thanks in advance,
    Guy

    Hello,

If you customize the OpenAM XUI, I don’t think there will be any issue regarding OpenID Connect or SAML2 authentication. These flows will use the specified authentication modules/chains therefore your customized XUI templates.

I you make your own UI and use the REST API, then you will have to configure the OAuth2 Provider so that OpenID Connect flows will redirect the user to your login page (see https://bugster.forgerock.org/jira/browse/OPENAM-6814). There is a similar configuration for SAML2.

Based on your requirements (which are pretty small) I would customize the XUI directly.
