Hi all. I’m a data engineer for a company that has just bought the Enterprise Edition of OpenAM. I’m having a bit of a problem getting the Apache web policy agent to run under Windows 10. It works fine on my W7 desktop PC at work but throws an Windows access violation under Windows 10 on my laptop. Has anyone encountered this already or have any suggestions?

I’m using the latest Windows 10 build with:

    • OpenAM 13
OpenAM web policy agent for Apache24 4.0.0 64-bit
      Apache 2.4 64-bit
      Tomcat 7.0.68 64-bit

The web agent plugin for Apache causes it to fail and restart continuously as soon as it is loaded. If the plugin is commented out then Apache runs ok.

On windows this is typically a permissions problem. The windows account that is running the C:\Apps\Apache24\bin\httpd.exe process will need read/write access to C:\Apps\openam\web_agents and below.

Windows 10 is not an officially supported platform for web policy agents. See https://backstage.forgerock.com/#!/docs/openam-web-policy-agents/4/web-release-notes#web-pa-platform-requirements

    Well, there’s that too. :)
