I have been using identity connector framework 1.4.x and using the OpenICF LDAP connector. When browsing through the API i was able to find timeout settings for each specific APIOperation through http://connid.tirasa.net/apidocs/1.4/org/identityconnectors/framework/api/APIConfiguration.html#setTimeout(java.lang.Class,%20int) . But i was not able find any setting where i can set settings like Connection timeout and read timeout. Also, i was not able to find any configuration property in LDAP connector for the same purpose. Is there any way we can set the connection timeout and read timeout through identity connector framework. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Pavan.

Looking at the source code of openicf LDAP connector LDAPSearch.java Line 195 ldap connector not making use of the search timeout settings defined in the connector framework. Search timeout is always set to zero which means the connection will wait indefinitely if the response is not available.

com.sun.jndi.ldap.connect.timeout and com.sun.jndi.ldap.read.timeout environment properties can be stuffed into the ldap initial context for specifying connection and read timeout settings and the same should be exposed as configuration parameters.LDAPConnection.java Line 125.

Please let us know is there any way i can contribute to this project.

    Thanks,
    Pavan.
