How to change login page title for a Realm and All realms ?March 24, 2016 at 12:33 pm #8890Rajesh RParticipant
@Firos Can you elaborate a bit more on what changes are you trying to make in the OpenAM Login Page?March 24, 2016 at 2:35 pm #8903
I am trying to show Page title as “Realm1” for Realm1 users, “Realm2” for Realm2 users, etc instead of showing “OpenAM”.
I think to achieve that i have to change property “htmlTitle_Login”, located in “amAuthUI.properties”.
But i couldn’t find such a file in WEB-INF/classes
Where property “htmlTitle_Login” resides in OpenAM 13 ?
Is it common for all realms? Then how to customize it for different realms?March 25, 2016 at 4:09 am #8947
The amAuthUI.properties file is within openam-core-13.0.0.jar. Extract that jar, grab the file and put it in your /openam/WEB-INF/classes directory and edit as you see fit. Restart OpenAM for changes to take effect.March 29, 2016 at 10:36 am #9003
Updated “htmlTitle_Login” property in “amAuthUI.properties”
Put it in “/openam/WEB-INF/classes” directory
Finally restarted OpenAM.
But title not changed. Anything more need to do?March 29, 2016 at 5:15 pm #9080
Ah, you must be using the XUI then. That title is defined in /openam/XUI/index.html. It’s not a variable so I’m not sure how to customize that on a per realm basis.March 29, 2016 at 6:07 pm #9081
Oh ok, then in common i can change index.htmlMarch 30, 2016 at 7:10 am #9105
Scott, Changed index.html and its working fine with my new title.
Hot to make “Page Title” Realm specific ?March 31, 2016 at 2:42 am #9153
@rajeshr has a number of video blogs on customizing the XUI. I don’t think I saw in those how to customize the title on a per realm basis, but maybe he can chime in here if he knows.
You are right, i have gone through those videos from Rajesh, couldn’t find realm specific title customization related things.April 1, 2016 at 7:32 am #9195
@Rajesh, we expect solution from youApril 1, 2016 at 5:48 pm #9244April 5, 2016 at 7:20 am #9287
No pressure, but pleasure @Rajesh :)April 7, 2016 at 11:42 am #9365Peter MajorModerator
Rather than expecting a solution from someone else, you could try to investigate the problem yourselves ;)April 7, 2016 at 12:30 pm #9370
We achieved it,
Realm Specific Page Title:
1. create a folder called relam1 under openam/XUI/
2. copy css and templates folders from XUI to XUI/realm1
document.title = “New Title”;
