Handling duplicates, manual fixes?

I’m wondering how people deal with the following scenario:

I have 2 datastores that don’t share a common primary key, so instead, they are matched by first, last name, etc.

Sometimes there aren’t exact matches so there needs to be some manual intervention to resolve what is the correct match.

There in an existing set of sync scripts that I’m trying to migrate to OpenIDM, and in those scripts, there is a manual mapping file that handles the ambiguous cases. What do people do in OpenIDM? Can you automatically raise a task and assign it to somebody to fix the broken mappings?

Or is there some sort of an equivalent of a mapping file?
