    Several times now, I’ve tried posting topics that seem to get lost on these forums.

    Here is some of the behavior I’m seeing:
    – I’ll try to reply to an existing topic and afterwards, the browser will seem to try to take me to my reply (i.e. the anchor in the URL indicates the reply ID), but the reply is nowhere to be found. Submitting the reply a second time, a few mins later, seems to work.

    – A reply will fail with an error of “Ooops. Did you mean to do that?” or some similar message about doing something that might not be wanted. Clicking “Submit” on the subsequent page seems to go through.

    – I’ll try to post a new topic, which seems to submit okay, but then is nowhere to be found in the listing of topics in the forums. Attempting to post the topic again leads to an error about a duplicate topic being detected (“You’ve already said that”). I have to end up posting part of the original post, then editing that post with the rest of the original post, as a workaround.

    Are these issues known?

    Oops, sorry, this should probably go under:
    https://forum.forgerock.com/forum/beta/

    Is the forum software custom in-house, or something off the shelf?

    Hi GuyPaddock,

    Looks like the spam filter caught, and indeed wrongly so, your last post “admin.xsd and OPENDJ-2774”. I can see you got it published in another topic so I’ll leave it unapproved so we don’t get a duplicate. I can’t say for sure why it ended up in the spam queue. We use the Akismet service (akismet.com) as the first line of defence. It’s usually very good. And once I manually de-spam something it learns from it.

    The forum software is bbPress. It has a feature to avoid double-posting and that is what you see when it says “You’ve already said that”. However the first time you “said it” was probably the post that the spam filter caught.

    I monitor the spam queue (and the reported content queue with it) but feel free to ping me in this thread again if you can’t find your post or reply after submitting it again. I’ll dive in and save it.

    @mariusg: Just had another issue. I posted in the Directory Services forum about the new Rest2LDAP feature of DS5, then did two small edits to my post and it seemingly disappeared.

    I assume it’s now in a moderation queue?

    Topic is/was here:
    https://forum.forgerock.com/topic/a-few-questions-about-rest2ldap-ds5

    Content was:

    We're loving the new multi-tenant sub-resource support in DS5, but have run into a couple of snags trying to get it to export data in a format that's closer to JSON API v1 (http://jsonapi.org/), which is what the rest of our infrastructure uses.

    First, is there any way to move the "_id" and "_rev" fields down into a lower-level object? JSON API, for example, would put these fields under a "meta" object rather than have them at the top level. It's not a deal breaker, since JSON API advises parsers to disregard fields they don't recognize (to maximize extensibility for new versions). But it would be nice if I could ensure we're fully compliant with the standard for our use case.

    The other question is about getting access to the DN on a multi-valued relationship. For example, group memberships. JSON API indicates that an object would specify its relationships to other objects in a structure that looks like this:

    {
      ...
      relationships: {
        "groups": [
          {
            "data": {
              "id": "cn=some-group,ou=groups,dc=mysite,dc=com",
              "type": "group"
            }
          }
        }
      }
      ...
    }

    The problem is that if I try to map "dn" as a "simple" property under a "data" "object" in the "mapper" section of the "groups" attribute, it seems to get silently ignored. For example:

    {
      ...
      "resourceTypes": {
        "rest2ldap:jsonapi:user:1.0": {
          ...
          "properties": {
            ...
            "relationships": {
              "type": "object",
              "properties": {
                "groups": {
                  "type": "reference",
                  "ldapAttribute": "isMemberOf",
                  "baseDn": "ou=groups,dc=my-site,dc=com",
                  "isMultiValued": true,
                  "writability": "readOnly",
                  "primaryKey": "dn",
                  "mapper": {
                    "type": "object",
                    "properties": {
                      "data": {
                        "type": "object",
                        "properties": {
                          "id": {
                            "type": "simple",
                            "ldapAttribute": "dn"
                          },
                          "type": {
                            "type": "constant",
                            "value": "group"
                          }
                        }
                      }
                    }
                  }
                }
              }
            }
          }
        }
      }
    }

    But, if I instead indicate that the "groups" property is a simple multi-valued field, then all I get is an array of DNs when I want an array of objects.

    Any way to accomplish what I'm after? Is the DN attribute just not mappable in a nested object like that?

    @guypaddock Indeed it was, I’ve approved it now.

    https://forum.forgerock.com/topic/a-few-questions-about-rest2ldap-ds5/ now has your original content.

    Cheers M

    @mariusg: I’m still getting the error “Are you sure you wanted to do that?” on posts, from time to time. The post gets lost when that happens. Any idea why that happens?

    I’ve seen this a couple of times too.
